Directions to St Philip & St James', Leckhampton, Cheltenham, from railway station

picture of church tower

The church is at the Cheltenham end of Leckhampton, on the corner of Grafton Road and Gratton Road.

The nearest railway station is Cheltenham Spa. Timetables are available from National Rail Enquiries. The station is not in the town centre and there is no direct bus to Leckhampton. There is a taxi rank, but after a train has arrived there may be a wait.

To walk, allow half an hour.

  1. Leave the station through the forecourt and turn right onto Queen's Road, keeping on the righthand side.

  2. Continue to end of road, where you'll see a petrol station ahead and to the left.

  3. Take the pedestrian crossing on your right.

  4. Once across the road, turn left, follow path as it bends right, and continue straight on down Andover Road.

  5. At shops, take fork to right.

  6. Continue straight on over several crossroads, large and small.

  7. At crossroads where road ahead narrows and becomes one-way (with Bespoke gallery opposite), turn right into Painswick Road.

  8. Take second left, at traffic island.

  9. The church is clearly visible on the left.
